Chimparoo Warranty and Return Policy

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Return or Exchange within 14 Days

Chimparoo guarantees the quality of its products and your satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied, contact us. We will listen carefully to your concerns and provide guidance based on our expertise in babywearing. If the carrier still does not work for you despite our advice, you can opt for an exchange or a return.

  • Exchange: Within 14 days, no delivery fees for the return. You only pay the difference if the exchanged product is more expensive. Delivery is free for most regions in Canada and the United States (see shipping policy).
  • Return: Within 14 days, a full refund will be provided without any deduction for shipping costs. You will need to cover the return shipping. You can return your purchase in person or by mail.

In all cases, a product may be refused if it has been significantly damaged under normal use. In such a situation, our team will contact you to propose an alternative solution.

QUALITY GUARANTEE

Our products are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase. Chimparoo will replace, exchange, or repair any product with a manufacturing defect. If you are not satisfied with a product and it is in new condition, you can return it.

Your satisfaction is our priority. Like many retailers, we guarantee the products we sell. If an item purchased from the Chimparoo online store or one of our authorized retailers does not meet your expectations, you can return it. Beyond the products, we also guarantee the purchase advice provided on our website and by our staff. If an item purchased from Chimparoo based on this advice does not suit you, you can return it as well. In both cases, simply return the item: it will be exchanged, refunded, repaired, or credited (see return policies below).

Our baby carriers and wraps are designed in our workshop in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Human error can occur, which is why we ask you to check your baby carrier as soon as you receive it. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice any defects to proceed with a free exchange.

Return and Exchange within 30 Days of Purchase

  • The product must not be worn or washed. You must return the item in its original condition with the included documents. It must be in perfect condition for resale, with tags attached and in the original box (or bag).
  • The return shipping fee is $15, to be paid by the customer, or you can return it to us in person. For exchanges, the customer will also be charged another $15 for shipping the new product. You can also come to our warehouse in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu during opening hours.
  • Include the invoice or proof of purchase. No returns or refunds without the original invoice.
  • A 20% fee (minimum of $15) will be deducted from the refunded amount for administrative and shipping costs, as delivery is free when sending.

Porte-bonheur reserves the right to refuse a refund.

Accessories, clearance items, Grade B, discontinued, and promotional items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Gift cards are non-refundable.

REPAIR SERVICE

We also offer a repair service. Contact us if you notice a tear, a broken component, fabric, stitching, or wear that could compromise the safety of your baby carrier. If the repair is not covered by the warranty, repair and shipping fees will apply. Send us a photo of the damage via email at info@chimparoo.ca for a repair estimate and details. Please allow up to 1 week for the repair.

For replacement parts that you can replace without sewing, you can order them by email as well. Always send a photo of the broken part and the model of the baby carrier. The price for 3/4 and 1-inch buckles is $8 CAD, including taxes and shipping:

  • Belt buckle (2 inches)
  • Baby carrier buckle (1 inch)
  • Shoulder strap buckle (3/4 inch)

SHIPPING

We process shipping within 24-48 hours after purchase on weekdays. If you want to cancel or make a change to your order, contact us as soon as possible within 24 hours of purchase. Any changes or cancellations after shipping will incur fees.

Shipping fees are calculated based on the chosen delivery service.

Delivery times are 2 to 5 business days. We ship via Purolator and Canada Post.

Chimparoo is not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by carriers. However, we will contact the carriers for follow-up and refunds.

For a limited time, we offer free shipping throughout Canada and the United States for most regions. If your address requires fees above standard postal charges, additional fees may be required to process your order.

RETURNS BY MAIL

No returns are accepted without prior approval from our team. Write to us at info@chimparoo.ca first to guide you through the procedures.

For returns from a country outside Canada, please contact us for procedures.
