WARRANTY, SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY

🌿 Eco-Friendly Local Delivery — Richelieu Region & Montreal
Because sustainability matters, some local deliveries may be made by electric car or by bicycle,
when the address is near our workshop in the Haut-Richelieu area or in certain parts of Montreal.
A simple way for us to reduce our footprint while offering a fast, personal service.
🔵 2. Shipping Options — Canada & USA
a) Free Shipping (5–20 business days)
- Free in Canada with purchases of 75 $ or more
- 5 $ under 75 $
- No signature; left at your door
- Proof of delivery but no protection against theft or loss
- Delivery time not guaranteed
b) Accelerated Shipping — Quebec & Ontario (5-day guarantee)
- 7 $ flat rate
- Delivered next day in 95% of cases
- No signature
- Shipping fee refunded if delayed
c) Accelerated Shipping — Rest of Canada & USA (15-day guarantee)
- 10 $ flat rate
- No signature
- Shipping fee refunded if delayed
Estimated Delays May Vary
Weather, peak seasons, carrier traffic, customs (USA), and remote regions may affect delivery times.
🔵 3. Signature Delivery (RECOMMENDED)
Available at checkout.
Best option if you:
✔ live in an apartment
✔ want protection against theft
✔ prefer guaranteed delivery
Additional fees may apply.
🔵 4. Responsibility for Delay, Loss or Theft
Once the carrier confirms delivery, responsibility is transferred to the customer.
No compensation for packages delivered without signature.
🔵 5. Satisfaction Guarantee – Trial Period (14 days)
The satisfaction guarantee allows customers to try the baby carrier at home, under normal household use, in order to:

check comfort for both parent and baby;

confirm sizing and adjustments;
-
test product features;
-
review installation instructions;
-
contact the Chimparoo team for guidance and support if needed.
This trial period is not intended for intensive use.
Important conditions
If the product is to be returned:

it must not be stained;
-
excessively worn;
-
washed;
-
or have strong odors.
Chimparoo reserves the right to refuse any return deemed unsellable.
🔵 6. Exchanges & Refunds (14 days)
Exchanges

All shipping costs (return and reshipment) are the customer’s responsibility

Paid shipping fees are non-refundable

Price differences are adjusted accordingly

Promotional discounts do not apply to replacement items
Refunds
For refunds (excluding manufacturing defects):

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility

Any shipping fees paid at checkout are non-refundable

A fixed deduction applies:

This deduction covers part of the initial outbound shipping costs only, as well as:

handling;
-
administrative processing;
-
and normal wear from product trial or handling, since the item can no longer be sold as new.
👉 Return shipping costs are not included in this deduction.
Customers may save on this portion by returning the product in person or using their own carrier.
🌍 International customers (including the USA)
International return costs may be higher.
Customers must contact Chimparoo before returning any international order to confirm applicable fees.
🔵 7. Return Methods
For all returns (exchange or refund), customers may:

or request a Chimparoo return label.

International Returns & Exchanges

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, even for defective items.

To keep costs—and our carbon footprint—low, we first ask for photos or videos to assess the issue.

If a defect is confirmed, we typically offer one of the following:

A gift certificate equal to the item (or defect) value for use on a future purchase;
-
Replacement parts or a local repair tutorial when feasible;
-
A discounted replacement shipped with your next order to avoid double freight charges.

🔵 8. Quality Warranty & Repair Service
Our products are covered by a 6-month warranty against any manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
During the warranty period (6 months)
If a defect is confirmed:
-
free evaluation (photos or videos);
-
free repair or replacement;
-
return and reshipping costs are fully covered by Chimparoo (Canada only).
We recommend inspecting your baby carrier upon receipt and contacting us promptly if you notice any issue.
After the warranty period (after 6 months)
Once the warranty period has expired, if damage occurs, we offer a repair service for a fee.
In most cases, repairs allow us to:

extend the life of the baby carrier;
-
ensure it remains safe for regular use;
-
reduce unnecessary waste by avoiding full replacement.
An assessment is completed first (using photos or videos), and a cost estimate is provided before any work begins.
Repair and shipping fees are then the customer’s responsibility.
🔵 9. International Shipping & Customs Duties
We ship worldwide. Please note that customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees may apply depending on the destination country.

These fees are determined by local authorities and are the customer’s responsibility.

Chimparoo does not calculate, collect, or pay these charges.
🔵 10. International Returns
International return policies may differ from domestic returns.

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, even in the event of a defect.

We may request photos or videos before authorizing a return, to confirm the situation and help find the most practical solution.
Depending on the case, we may offer:

store credit,
-
replacement parts, or
-
a discounted replacement.
