Chimparoo Warranty, Delivery & Return Policy

Welcome to Chimparoo! We aim to make your shopping experience as pleasant as possible. Below is everything you need to know about our shipping options.
Carriers and Services Used
- For free shipping, we select the carrier and service that offer the best price and delivery times based on your destination.
- Carriers may vary, but we are committed to choosing reliable partners to safely deliver your orders.
Shipping Options
1- Free Shipping (5 to 20 business days) minimum purchase $75 - $5 shipping with no minimum order
- Available for Canada.
- Certain remote or hard-to-access locations may incur additional fees or may not be eligible. In such cases, we will contact you to either pay the extra fees or cancel your order with a full refund.
- Shipped without a signature requirement, and packages may be left at your door. This service does not include signature upon delivery, and the package may be left at the door. Although this service provides proof of delivery, it does not offer any guarantee in the event of subsequent loss or theft.
- No coverage against theft or loss once the package is delivered.
- Note: This option is ideal if you are not in a hurry to receive your order. No guarantee for delivery time.
2- Accelerated Shipping (5 business days or less)
- Flat rate of $7 throughout Quebec and Ontario.
- In 95% of cases, delivery is completed the day after you place your order!
- Certain remote or hard-to-access locations may incur additional fees or longer delivery times.
- Shipped without a signature requirement and only provides proof of delivery.
- Note: We highly recommend this option if you want to receive your order quickly.
- Reimbursement of delivery costs in the event of delay
3- Accelerated Shipping (15 business days or less)
- Flat rate of $10 anywhere in Canada (except Quebec and Ontario) and the U.S.
- Certain remote or hard-to-access locations may incur additional fees or longer delivery times.
- Shipped without a signature requirement and only provides proof of delivery.
- Note: We highly recommend this option if you want to receive your order quickly.
- Reimbursement of delivery costs in the event of delay
All delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our control (weather conditions, customs, etc.).
3. Guaranteed Shipping Options (With Signature)
- If you wish to secure delivery with a signature or select a specific carrier, additional services are available at checkout.
- Additional Fees: Extra costs may apply for these services.
Responsibility for Delays
- We strive to meet estimated delivery times but cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers or exceptional circumstances.
- No compensation will be provided in case of delay if you opted for free shipping without a guaranteed delivery option.
- For time guaranteed delivery, please select a shipping option with a guarantee at the time of purchase.
Responsibility for Theft or Loss
- Packages are shipped without requiring a signature and may be left in your mailbox or at your door.
- Once delivery is confirmed by the carrier, responsibility for the package is transferred to the customer. We cannot be held responsible for stolen or lost packages after delivery confirmation.
- Security Option:
- To avoid having your package left unattended, we recommend choosing a secure delivery option, such as delivery requiring a signature or pick-up at a relay point.
- Additional fees: Extra costs apply for these options.
Assistance in Case of a Problem
- If you encounter an issue with delivery, please contact the carrier for detailed information.
- We are also available to assist you and facilitate your inquiries with the carrier.

Return or exchange within 14 days.
At Chimparoo, we deeply believe babywearing should be a joyful experience for every family. That’s why we offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee — giving you time to try your carrier in real life, at home, and with your baby.
How it works
If your baby carrier doesn’t meet your expectations, you can request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving it, even if it’s been gently used, as long as it remains in good condition.
Before making your decision, we encourage you to reach out to us. With over 18 years of babywearing experience, we may be able to suggest simple tips or adjustments that can make all the difference. But if it’s still not working for you, we fully understand.

You’d like a different model or size?

Exchange fee: $25 CAD
(This covers return shipping and the delivery of the replacement product.) -
If the new product is more expensive, you’ll just pay the difference.

If the new product is less expensive, we’ll refund the difference.

No additional promotional discount may be applied to the replacement product, even if your original item was purchased on sale.

Return – Within 14 Days
You’ve decided to return the product altogether?

Return fee: $30 CAD
(This covers return shipping and will be deducted from your refund.) -
We’ll issue a refund via the original payment method.

Conditions

The item must be clean and in good condition, even if used a few times.

If the product is damaged, heavily soiled, or has strong odors (e.g. pets, smoke), it may be refused for return. In that case, we’ll contact you to propose an alternative solution.
Easy Return Process
We can provide you with a prepaid Purolator return label (depending on your region).
The $25 or $30 fee will be deducted from your refund or added to your exchange order.
Quality Guarantee
Our products are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase. Chimparoo will take back, exchange, or repair any product with a manufacturing defect. If you are not satisfied with a product that is in new condition.
Rest assured that your satisfaction is at the heart of our concerns. Like many retailers, we also guarantee the products we sell. If an item purchased from the Chimparoo online store or an authorized retailer does not meet your expectations, you can return it to us. Beyond products, we also guarantee the purchasing advice given on our website and by our staff. If an item purchased from Chimparoo based on this advice does not suit you, you can also return it. In both cases, simply return the item: it will be exchanged, refunded, repaired, or credited (see return policies below).
Our baby carriers and wraps are designed at our workshop in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Human error can happen, which is why we ask you to inspect your carrier as soon as you receive it. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice any defects to proceed with a free exchange.
Returns and Exchanges up to 30 Days After Purchase
The product must not be worn or washed. You must return the item in its original condition with included documents. It must be in perfect condition for resale, with tags attached and in the original box (or bag).
- Return shipping costs are $15 and are the customer's responsibility, or you can bring it to us yourself. For exchanges, the customer will also be charged another $15 for the transport of the exchanged product. You can also come to our warehouse in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu during our opening hours.
- Include the invoice or proof of purchase. No return or refund without the original invoice.
- A 20% fee (minimum of $15) will be deducted from the refunded amount for administrative and shipping costs, as shipping is free during the order.
L’écharpe Porte-bonheur (Chimparoo) reserves the right to refuse a refund.
Accessories, clearance items, grade B, discontinued, and promotional items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Gift cards are non-refundable.
Repair Service
We also offer a repair service. You can contact us if you notice a tear, broken component, fabric, seam, or wear that may compromise the safety of your baby carrier. If the repair is not covered under the guarantee, repair and shipping fees will apply. Send us a photo of your broken item by email to info@chimparoo.ca to get an estimate for the repair and details on the process. Please allow up to 1 week for your repair.
For replacement parts that you can replace without sewing, you can also order them by email. Always send a photo of the broken part and the model of the baby carrier. The price of 3/4-inch and 1-inch buckles is $8 CAD, including tax and shipping.

Returns by Mail
No return will be accepted before approval from our team. Please contact us at info@chimparoo.ca first to guide you through the process.
For returns from outside Canada, please contact us for instructions.
International Shipping & Customs Duties
We ship worldwide; however, any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged by destination countries are the customer’s responsibility. These charges are collected by local authorities upon delivery and are neither calculated nor paid by Chimparoo.

Carriers: USPS, UPS for the USA; APC Priority Worldwide, PostNL International, and Canada Post for all other destinations.

Estimated transit times: vary by carrier and destination (typically 6 – 30 business days).

Tracking & insurance: provided when available. Packages ship without a signature unless you select a signature-required option at checkout.
International Returns & Exchanges

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, even for defective items.

To keep costs—and our carbon footprint—low, we first ask for photos or videos to assess the issue.

If a defect is confirmed, we typically offer one of the following:

A gift certificate equal to the item (or defect) value for use on a future purchase;

Replacement parts or a local repair tutorial when feasible;

A discounted replacement shipped with your next order to avoid double freight charges.
